I’m Leslie Riven, a retired airline pilot, outdoor photographer, and lifelong wanderer based in the mountains of Utah.

After years of flying around the world, I now spend my time exploring the West by truck, bike, skis, and foot — chasing light, weather, wildlife, and the quiet moments most people drive past.

My photography is rooted in the mountains, deserts, backroads, and wild places of Utah and the American West. I’m drawn to moose in the high country, wild horses in the desert, rugged landscapes, and the people who live close to the outdoors.

I don’t try to over-polish the world. I like images that feel real — a little grit, a little motion, a little story. My goal is simple: capture the feeling of being there.
